We stumbled upon LFC while browsing around The Village and were SO glad we went there. Their wine selection was good and we were sad that they only had one cider to try because of the poor apple season. While some of the bar tenders tried a bit too much while others didn't seem to care the overall experience was... More

For some reason over 20 years we finally stopped here and were impressed with this establishment in the old mental health asylum in travers city. GOOD wine and very informative staff. You can grab a bite to eat and pair up with your wine as well. We'll be back.

The winery is in the middle of the Grand Traverse Commons which gives it an interesting setting, but the wines were just average. The staff was hit or miss as to their interest in the customers.

A fun place, a limited selection of wines. Interesting history. If you can find the place. With a GPS in my car, and another in my hand, we couldn't find it. Had to call and have them direct us as we drove. Wine good tho!

This winery is a great place to pop into for a tasting or a glass.. it is located in the village among a lot of other neat places.. the wine tasting allows you to find your favorite and since my hubby is not a wine drinker..he swears by the spiced hard apple cider!

The history of this location was interesting. The lower part of the bar is made from doors from patient rooms at the mental hospital. Small and cozy and the wine is great. Excellent staff

First, I love the location of this winery/tasting room, which is part of the old State Mental Asylum that has been restored and converted into shops, restaurants, and other businesses. The winery is very modern looking in comparison to others in the area. It has a very "hometown bar" feel to the tasting area, which is relaxing and fun. The... More

LFC not only has great wines and cider, but the location at the in the Village at the Grand Traverse Commons makes it a must destination place to visit in Traverse City. The character of the old state hospital being brought back to life is amazing, and then to be able to down for a class of wine either inside... More

The Wine tasting was to die 4. We shopped (4 of us) in the Commons area & had a great time. People were very friendly & the prices were very doable. We will be back
