We had a beautiful walk around Silver Lake the home to, supposedly, 30,000 geese. The leaves were beautiful colors and the sun was shining. Great break from visits to the Mayo Clinic and St. Mary's Hospital.

Nice place to enjoy the tranquil water. Places to bike, rest, read, walk, have a picnic or think about things.

their is so much bird poo all over the bike trails and the lake its self is so nasty you can just smell it

I love to watch the geese and ducks. There are 3 playgrounds to choose from, and my son loves them all. The boat rental place is wonderful - I've rented boats at least 5 times in the last year. Close to downtown it is a decent little park to get away. Bike and boat rentals are resonable... we got a few kayaks and went out for a bit - turned a gloomy day into a great adventure.

I went there just to walk around when I wasn't at Mayo. Nice area right on the river. It is easy for an out of towner to find this nice area.

WE walked around the lake several times. Next time we're going to rent bikes and maybe even a pattle boat.

This is a nice place to go during the summer for a picnic or bike ride.

Try this out, its a great, peaceful place. You can rent bikes and boats and spend super quality time on silver lake.
