Good sight lines, comfortable seat, easy access, quality performance. We had a double date with my son and his wife and had a great time.

My wife had "see an opera" on her bucket list so I went online and bought two tickets to the opera Turandot by Puccini at the Ordway performed by the Minnesota Opera. I had no idea what the opera was about or anything about the Ordway at the time. What a great experience! This was our first visit to the...

This was my first visit to the Ordway. I was there for the opening performance of "Light in the Piazza". The accoustics were perfect, the chairs comfortable, the employess helpful and freindly and the lobby clean, well decorated and inviting. Surprisingly, there was ample parking that day as well. (apparently nothing was going on at the Excel). They took care...

If there's a dramatic or musical performance that interests you, this is a beautiful place in which to enjoy it. Many, many good seats and excellent acoustics.
Elegant and beautiful venue with decent electronically augmented sound. Magical views from the second floor, a wall of windows overlooking Rice Park with all the trees decorated with a thousand tiny lights. Warm greetings from the handsome Ordway doorman in his great coat, Rice Park aglow with ice sculptures during Winter Carnival - almost makes this Minneapolis gal envy those...

We attended a performance of the Sondheim Songbook. The show was excellent, the singers fine and the piano player was great! We always get a classy feeling at an Ordway event and the acousitcs in all of their auditoriums are great.
Been here numerous occasions to see musicals. The last one that I saw was Elf. The Ordway Theater is well located in the heart of St. Paul by several bars/restaurants nearby to grab a bite or eat before the show. The theater itself is pretty nice with a large, expansive lobby where you can check in/buy tickets, use the restroom,...

This theater is located in downtown St. Paul across from a park and within 2 blocks of some of the finest restaurants in the upper midwest. Look for reviews of Meritage and St. Paul Grill which is located in the fine St. Paul Hotel.
This wonderful theater is even more special when the park across the street is filled with holiday lights. it has become a tradition to take in a production at the Ordway [ this year is ELF] and get steeped in the holiday spirit.
When St. Paul built the Ordway, they did it right. The location is great, although parking can be challenging. It is situated across the street from Rice Park and the St. Paul Hotel, the historic Central Library, and the Landmark Building. The area is all lit up and very beautiful. The theater is acoustically awesome and the shows are always...
