the polar bears were very active when we visited, one was pushing off the windows to make big splashes and seemed delighted with the response of the crowd.

The Kansas City Zoo itself is alright.. But my problem with this zoo is the location... I, personally, didn't feel safe driving to this location of town. I got lost on my way out of this zoo, trying to find my way back to I-435, and was on a side street just outside of the park in which the zoo...

Outstanding zoo but you'll need some patience. If you expect a bunch of cages, with animals laying in front of you looking comatose, you'll be terribly disappointed in the Kansas City zoo. It will not provide you with that type of instant gratification on some exhibits. If, however, you're willing to do some walking in order to see animals in...

My kids just love Going to the zoo. We have the platinum membership so we go as often as possible. The polar bear exhibit is so cool! If u need something to do, this is a must!!
We were visiting from Michigan for a wrestling event and decided to go to the Kansas City Zoo on a whim. SO glad we did! At first the entrance fee seemed surprising, but after several hours we realized what a treasure this zoo is. The paths were clean, clear, and flowed nicely from exhibit to exhibit. The variety of animals...

I loved our local zoo but man this is a Zoo. Huge exhibits. Animals look really happy and in some of the large exhibits can be hard to spot. Make sure you wear walking shoes or rent the trams. Good value for the money.
Food and drinks are expensive! $5 for a large pop. Park is so big it's almost...

Now on out 2nd year of having a Friends of the Zoo membership. There are so many great animals to see and fun things to do with the family! We especially love the polar bears, Nikita and Berlin. Kids love the train, tram, sky safari, boat, and carousel. You can spend hours at the KC Zoo and not see anything...

I love this zoo if the weather is nice. There is a lot of walking and the exhibits are not close together, however, it is a pleasant walk and the animals are not crammed together. The first visit I ever made to this zoo was last year when the weather was over 90 degrees. The exhibits seemed way too far...

The best place to spend the morning with a three year old is the Kansas City Zoo. As members we can go often and stay as long as a three year old is entertained. He loves the train and the Polaris bears. We try to do a different section each trip. The Zoo is clean and well laid out. I...

We visited with out-of-town visitors with a 6-year old on a prime day in June. Disappointed to learn that much of the spread-out zoo was closed to all visitors (even first thing in the morning) because of a charity event that night. Seemed like that could have been handled much better operationally.
