Sacrifice Cliff is easily seen from many areas in Billings. The story I've heard is that a smallpox epidemic occurred during early contact of Native Americans with whites. The Natives had absolutely no immunity to the dreadful disease. Brave warriors road their horses off the cliff believing their sacrifice would save their people.

It is beautiful on a clear day---you can see all of Billings, and several mountain ranges in the distance, too. It has an interesting history, too; the name has great significance :)
