The park provides lots of trails that are easy to hike (i.e., fairly level) with different areas to satisfy your scenic impulses (e.g., along a canal or through a wooded glade). The dogs love the trails. You may want to bring along water for the dogs as well as yourself--especially if it is hot and sunny.

My wife and I walk three miles a day for exercise and we were looking for a place to do it during our road trip to New Hampshire. We have rules for the park, Only take photos and only leave footprints. Dogs must be on a leash for the safety of all park users. We are a group of volunteers... More

We've taken several nice walks in the park. In late May we saw a few lady slippers. Easy parking access on three sides.

Walking trails, running trails, bike trails, single-cross trails, picturesque spots to have a picnic, overlooks, a river, wildlife viewing, quiet (or hustle-bustle when you get nearer the highway), etc. It's a great place to come and burn a few calories or just sit and watch people move... Mine Falls has several interconnected trail of differing length, but each is as beautiful as the next. There are man-made lakes, streams and waterfalls, all nestled in an the middle of an otherwise very busy area; however, walking the trails it's easy to forget how near civilization really is (an elevated Route 3 runs right through the place, but you...
