We have been on the railroad many times. It is always clean and the views are beautiful. All ages enjoy the trip.

Friendly people but the tour will ONLY show you trees. It's expensive for what it shows you. It would probabloy be worth taking the tour during the leaf peeping season.
We appreciate this reviewer commenting on our friendly staff, most of whom return year after year and love sharing our heritage railroad with the public. We promote this Valley Train excursion as one that goes "over the river and through the woods" as it travels through fields and woodlands and crosses the East Branch, Saco and Ellis Rivers on the...

Took the first class car. Enjoyed being able to sit back and relax while learning about the railroad as well as North Conway.
This is a wonderful train ride! Would recommend to everyone. We purchased our tickets the day before which was a really good idea, as the train filled up quickly.
Many of us travel with our four-legged companions and it is often difficult to find activities which allow your dog to accompany you. The nice folks at the Conway Scenic Railroad not only welcome your dog to join you in one of the coach cars, but they will also provide them with a dog cookie if they visit the train...

Loved the train ride up the mountain! It was rainy but, almost all of the trail was visible - except for very top. The break-man was great with fun facts and history of the trail. They had a spotty audio recording going both ways, but the break-men did a better job. Loved their personality!
We appreciate this reviewer's enthusiasm, but these pictures are of the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. Our Notch Train goes through the mountains, but the Cog goes "up the mountain." In reading this review, we don't want people to confuse our two experiences. They're both great, just different.

Booked the 55 minute ride from North Conway to Conway. If you want to see trees and the dirty back alley of hicks sheds, go ahead an enjoy the ride. A terrible train ride, with absolutely nothing to see aside maybe from a few backhoe in a parking lot!!! I think I would have paid $60 NOT to have to...

We're sorry that this reviewer was so disappointed by the experience here. As I've written before, the North Conway area has seen a great deal of development along Route 16 in the 40 years since the railroad was founded. However, this Conway excursion does offer lovely views of the Moat Mountain Range as well as distant mountain views as it...

The historic rail cars are really fun and the ride takes you through beautiful scenery. The guide is very knowledgable and had interesting facts.
We loved the train ride. It's especially great for young children aboard an old fashioned railway and train. There is a sweet little railway station there where you can stock up on your Thomas the Train collection, too.
