We were delighted to see Suzanne Dawson perform in East Lynne Theater Company's production of RUTH DRAPER'S COMPANY OF CHARACTERS in the summer of 2012. Suzanne was top notch. A real pro. This was a two-woman production; each actress performed a series of solo acts. One better than the next. The cast and the crew were so appreciative that we... More

we saw "the thirty nine steps" on broadway but we were staying for the week and decided to give it a try here.we expected a local theatre company but all four actors(they play many roles in this farce of an hitchcock movie)had extensive experiance on stage and tv.loved what they did with it and the cozy theater made it somewhat... Take the time to attend a show from the East Lynne Theater Company. It is a trip back in time with actors who give their all to each and every performance.

We saw this group perform "It Pays to Advertise" at a downtown Presbyterian church. All actors were professional in their performance, made the most of spare sets, and were high energy throughout the play.

My wife and I have now seen three productions here--the latest being 'It Pays to Advertise'. The Theater Company rents space at this pretty Presbyterian Church near the outdoor Mall in Cape May. They tend to specialize in early 20th century comedies, so it's great to see a little slice of life from a century ago. All of the actors... More

Very clever and well acted play. Too much fund raising...they even sold 50-50 raffle tickets at intermission. But very much enjoyed the evening. Church pews a bit uncomfortable - that is their venue now. Great theater company though -- they deserve lots of support and attendance!

My husband and I decided to do dinner and a play for my birthday when we were in Cape May. Dinner at Aleatheas (separate review) and "The Poe Mysteries" at the East Lynne Theater company. We were a bit skeptical because when we made reservations, we were told the play was in a church. I pictured the play being in... More

Saw Edgar Allen Poe's Mysteries and it was great. The cast was professional and even my husband who typically does not like plays enjoyed himself.

A group of us went to see The Poe Mysteries performed by the East Lynne Theater Company in Cape May, NJ. The performances are in a Presbyterian Church, and I always wonder ahead of time, how it will be performed with such limited stage space, and I am always amazed. This show was not as "dark" as the title sounds... More

Theater is a true 3D experience. This one adds another dimension: Time. In the telling of the classic Dupin stories they show how he solved the crime and then the crime itself, in a unique way. I loved every minute of it. Definitely an incredible experience for all mystery fans.
