We have camped and/or picniced there for many years. A beautiful spacious park. The beach is nice, although the swimming is difficult because it,s not very deep. But this is good if you have small children. The original camping area is small, Very clean and large sites. No hook-ups. The newer camping area is rougher. Reservations go very quickly, so... More

We walked around the park which borders Ostego Lake. We saw deer running around and sat by the lake. Relaxing.

Good access, clean area, well-landscaped. During Fall Foliage time it was a wonderful surprise find. Relaxing time just enjoying God's beauty!

You will enjoy this relaxing tour boat ride -- CLEAN boat, beautiful lake and surroundings. The captain tells about the lake and the area, but doesn't talk too much, just enough to answer a few of the questions you might be having. It's a decent price for the area.

If you're looking for a short easy hike you'll find it here. There was wildlife, deer, chipmunks. Just a nice excursion from all the baseball.

Everytime we go to C'town, I insist that we go to Glimmerglass. You pay an entrance fee of $7 per car. You can truly spend the entire day at the park. I recommend packing a picnic lunch. If it's warm, then bring your bathing suit and take advantage of the beach, lake and snack bar. You can also go hiking... More

The glimmerglass state park is beautiful and the views are great... but the hiking trails are very hard to navigate and it is very easy to get turned around. Also the park is atleast 15 minutes from downtown so plan accordingly.
