We were checking out the surrounding area and came upon the State Park. Cabins are for rent; there's a beach on a large lake with boat ramps; basketball courts; miniature golf; picnic area. Super Clean with many a walk/bike trail.

This is a gem of a state park. All kinds of wildlife, extreme beauty, fantastic scenery, and outstanding amenities. I could go back again, and again. The Fall foliage was breathtaking!

Many years ago, while looking over Red House Lake at the Administration building, my grandfather said it was one of the most beautiful sites he had ever seen. Beautiful and so worth the trip. The Thunder Rocks in particular are amazing. Also make sure to visit Red House.

The $7 fee was well worth the experience. We toured the park and covered most of the main roadways. We also made it to the Thundering Rocks location which is a the top of one of the ridges. Beautiful park with great views, and lots of outdoor experiences. Camping cabins and tent camping are near all the outdoor activities.
