a lot for $5, takes about 2 hours -- could be more descriptive of displays, especially if you don't know a lot about racing

It follows the history of the sport, the Saratoga race course and the people & animals who have contributed to the game. You can watch videos of almost every fampous race, stand inside a staring gate, see trophies worth thousands of...

Having little background knowledge of horse racing, I was totally immersed in reading the entire array of historical notes but actually ran out of time--plan on spending more than 1 hour to fully appreciate the museum. Also, gift shop was great!
A nice experience! Check it out. They had a simulation horse riding experience that was pretty cool and nice all around history of racing.

I'm not the biggest horse racing fan but we were staying a few blocks from this museum and decided to stop in. It's quite informative with plenty to see and learn about. If you LOVE horses and horse racing than I would definitely suggest going.
This is a great museum to visit, whether you're involved with horses a lot or a little. Great, interactive, informative displays. Well worth a visit!

The next time out to Saratoga, I want to spend the better part of a day checking everything out. I have been two times, both when the track was not racing, so the...
