I have been wine tasting dozens of times on Seneca Lake and this time I had my Bachelorette party at the wine and BBQ. The festival was great and not too busy as they had the set-up in different rooms. Overall, this is an awesome place to go for wonderful wine, beautiful views and fun!!

What a beautiful and fun drive along Seneca Lake in the NY Finger Lakes with one small winery after another offering tasting and interesting conversation. The backdrop for this is sparkling Seneca Lake sandwiched below with hills on both sides covered in vineyards. At the end of the lake is Watkins Glen, a picturesque and interesting slice of Americana. And,... More

I love everything, both on and off the wine trail. The waterfalls are surprising and captivating, my favorite is Montour Falls. I love the view from either side, and there are wonderful things to do nearby, such as the Mennonite operated Windmill Farm and Craft Market and Oak Hill Bulk Foods in Penn Yan, Crystal Valley Flowers in Dundee, the... My mom and I went to this event and it was excellent!! We hit all the wineries, 34 to be exact. My mom had never been to the wineries so this was a perfect way for her to see them. We just loved the event!!!

35+ wineries, how can you go wrong? Wineries vary from gimmicky to excellent!. Something for everyone. Beautiful scenery abounds. Most tastings are under $5. Not all wineries are for everyone, but you sure can have fun finding your favorites.

If you want to enjoy the wineries and dont want to drive then check out FriskyWineTours. They have a six hour tour which includes both lakes for a price of $50 bucks. You have to pay for the tastings at the wineries but for that price who can say no. Sit back and let them do the driving.

I have been taking self-guided wine tours on Seneca Lake (and other Finger Lakes) for about 10+ years now, and I always find myself picking Seneca Lake Wine Trail over the others (Keuka & Cayuga). A couple big reasons. 1. Seneca has the most wineries, so there are a wide variety of places to choose from and 2. It's the... More
