Very authentic and educational. I love it when they do the re-enactments. Very fun to watch and love all of the sites there are to see there. Will be taking additional trips.

Excellent place for family to visit and see all the hundreds of forces during the re-enactment. Well worth the time. Been there at least three times.

Small and nice to visit when you need a short break from traveling. Special events are well done, especially the reinactments with horses, etc. Rated it only Very Good because the sites in NC pale in comparison to the ones in VA (and I'm from NC).

We are very much into history with our family. We have visited this area numerous times....and will continue to go back.. We learn something new each time. We also have friends who own and display cannons, etc...and they have added so much more to the learning process for us.....

Those interested in CW history a must see. Esp. those looking for a taste of what medicine was like in those days. The restoration of the farmhouse field hospital was true to form.

I love the reenactment they put on here. It is a lot of walking so bring good comfortable shoes. Also bring a portable chair or blanket to sit on to watch the battle as the seating on bleachers is limited. There is great food cooked up by the fire department so come hungry and ready to have a great time.... More

This place is just boring. I usually love historical sites, but this one really fell flat for me. Nothing here stood out, and I wasn't here long before I simply left and chocked it up to a terrible experience.

A bit of a drive from Durham, but worth it. House set up as battlefield hospital and is very interesting. Free.

I've always seen signs for this attraction when in the area and finally had the time to see it. There is no charge, although donations are accepted. You'll start by viewing a 15 minute film which provides an overview of the battle fought there, then a self-guided tour of exhibits in the small museum area. There is also a small... More

The battlefield is large and has many plaques to read about the area. Unfortunately the place was closed on the day we decided to go but you are still able to walk around and look at everything. The cost is normally free when they are open. It was neat to read about the history!
