Fabulous shows, casual, and right on top level of "Level 5" Wilmingtons rooftop bar. Fun place, and always can catch a great show whether it be comedy or a play. Prices are reasonable, seating is plenty, and VIP tbles avail.

City Stage Theatre is set in the heart of downtown Wilmington. Architecturally it is an interesting venue that could use some updates. The AC/heat, carpets, elevator and bathrooms are pretty run down.
I have never seen a bad performance at City Stage. They put on great work. Plan your evening to include a drink on the roof top bar to...

This is an excellent venue, especially if you sit up front at one of their cafe tables. Tables seat 2 or 4 people. I have seen 7-8 plays here. There is also a bar, called Level 5, right beside the theater. You get a rooftop view of all of downtown Wilmington from this vantage point. Actually, it is worth going...

Have seen some awe inspiring shows at City Stage. Great musicals geared more toward adult audiences.

Nice small venue in historic building. Great productions. Go to the roof top bar before the show and enjoy the view of the city.
Great live performances, and an equally cool roof top bar, smack-dab in the middle of downtown. Awesome!
we saw Debbie Does Dallas at the City Stage Theatre and had a great night out. Quite informal and noisy compared to British theatre, really good atmosphere, and a rooftop bar for before and after. You can take drinks in too, which is always a plus.
Because this theatre is attached to a very popular night club, it is a fun place to watch a show. Beware though, my 6'4" husband had a very time in those SMALL seats!
The back 2/3 of the theatre has very uncomfortable seats and no leg room and in some you don't sit facing the stage. But the only show I've seen there was Chicago and it was the most professional show we've seen here in 2 years. For movies don't go unless you can get a set in front of the rod...
