We were able to walk the estate, pick and eat the grapes before dining on the pergola with an well thought out restaurant menu. Excellent cellar tour and gift shop, award-winning varietals that are completely unique to the region, and their hard cider is great too! Lovely experience.

Made a grip to Grand Pre on a beautiful, sunny fall day. This winery has everything going for it! The staff were extremely friendly and informative. We took the tour of the winery and learned a lot about Nova Scotia seasons, agriculture and the process of growing the grapes and making the wine. Had a chance to taste 5 of... More

This winery is well worth the visit. Their wines are consistent and excellent. We have not taken the tour yet but usually do a complete tasting of their nice selection of wines. We are always looking for unusual wine varietals or one-of-a-kind flavors and their Pomme d'Or sweet apple wine is absolutely yummy. It is a dessert wine, quite sweet,... More

Stop here once a year to sample and buy wine. The vine yards and views are great. I strongly recommend everyone at least go to the wine tasting. We haven't tried the restaurant yet but have heard positive reviews.

I agree with the previous reviewer, the photo should be taken down because it is not the correct location. The Domaine de Grand Pre is an excellent and very nice winery in delightful settings. We didn't go on a guided tour because we showed up too early on a Sunday morning but we were allowed to stroll the vineyard on... More

NOTE TO TRIP ADVISER: THIS LOCATION IS MISLABLED HERE AND THE PHOTO IS NOT OF THE WINERY, BUT OF THE GRAND PRE NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE. THE Domaine de Grand Pré IS A WINERY AND RESTAURANT AND ONE OF THE FINEST IN NOVA SCOTIA. MY REVIEW, BELOW, IS OF THE RESTAURANT AND WINERY. We have dined in this fine restaurant during... More

I planned my boyfriend's 57th birthday around a trip to the Nova Scotia Valley for a University Hockey game and during our visit, took ourselves on a tour and tasting of the Domaine De Grand Pre Winery. The history of this winery is very fasinating, it is the oldest winery in Nova Scotia, the current owners have been there since... More

This restaurant is expensive but worth every penny. If you plan on one fancy dinner during your trip do it here. My wife had a big piece of fresh tuna that was the best I have ever tasted. Their white wines are very nice, especialy the Vidal Blanc. Figure about $150 for two which really isn't all that bad for... More

Our group wished we had more time here to explore the gardens. The church is a monument to the Acadians and their plight. The movie is time well spent learning about the history of the Acadians and their removal from their homes.

Food was all right but the three steak orders were mixed up and two people got the wrong ones. The 3 green salad was not greens but beets, ... we should have been warned. It was so lovely sitting out on a warm summer evening that we forgave the problems.
