Booked the tour, rented the movie, and toured this place a few weeks later. This was my favorite stop on Prince Edward Island. Looks just like the movie that was based on the book. The grounds and trails are beautiful, and well worth the time. Best price performer on the Quebec to Boston cruise.

OK, now I can say I've been there and done that. Admittedly, the facility is well restored and presented, and they do efficiently and effectively move the crowds in, around, and through the various areas of the site. However, in the end, it's just a house, some out buildings, and a plot of land with trees, flowers, and grass. Unless... More

Wife is a huge fan so this was not to be missed and it didn't disappoint her either. Watching her relive some of her cherished moments from the books & movies was priceless. The video provided a great backstory and the stroll around the place was enjoyable. We went during the shoulder season so some attractions were closed, but still... More

We visited the Green Gables Heritage Place and expected more. Yes you can tour through the house but not worth the money except you can say you been there.

Those who are familiar with Lucy Maud Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables" books, and the even better television mini-series based on them, will not want to miss this attraction. While it was not Montgomery's actual home, it is the place where she spent much of her youth, visiting relatives who lived here. This is not a reconstruction, but the actual... More

As a child, I read some of the Anne of Green Gables books and of course, fell in love with Megan Follows portrayal on TV. We started the tour with an introduction video in the theatre about the author, L. Maud Montgomery which was very informative. We then walked through the barn and the house. Both were interesting and showed... More

For my wife, a huge fan of the book series, this was something to check off the bucket list. They do the best they can setting this up as close as it can be to what inspired the setting, but don't expect a whole lot more than that. Plan to visit the beautiful beaches in the area and take in... More

National Parks has done a wonderful job of preserving and presenting this lovely home along with the Lovers Lane and Hauned Woods paths that were all travelled by Lucy Maud! It is well worth the visit and I look forward to when we can return!

A wonderful spot to visit. Waking trails were beautiful. House was just as we pictured it after watching the movie!
