The Ohio Historical Center is really an excellent stop to catch a good review of Ohio's varied and colorful history. They have recently redone the gift shop and many of the exhibits, so I can't refer specifically to any particular one.

We enjoyed our first trip so much we just bought a membership so we could go back and see everything we thought we might have missed. Excellent place to experience most facets of Ohio history.
I didn't know Ohio had such an interesting history. And the Historical Society does such a great job. The Village is fun, and special occasions and presentations are always worth the time.
A bit pricey. Not open Monday or Tuesday. This week they are honoring the Vietnam veterans!! The kids area is nice, things are too close together to get even a child's wheelchair through. Tons of exhibitions.
We used to go here at least once every other month, but haven't been able to lately. Love the displays, and the Ohio Village is awesome!! Recommend to everyone!!
Everywhere i looked there was something wonderful and amazing. One better than the last. each one different yet awesome from minerals to animals. Then fossils and war memorbilia. Tree trunks and medals then dinasaurs. Even airplanes and racecars. At each turn it was more outstndinh. i felt like a kid in a candy store. I wanted to see everything. I...

We went for one of the first person plays in Feb. and it was excellent. They never disappoint whether it is for a historical meal, evening, or just to see the displays. Too bad Ohio Village is not open very often now due to budget cuts. If you ever get to go to their Halloween extravaganza it will not disappoint!
As a member of the Ohio Historical Society, I have the opportunity to visit dozens of society managed sites. But the best one of all is the "home office" location to the north of downtown Columbus. Ohio played a major role in the early development of our great nation. The center takes you back into time, to the ice age,...

I went with my kids and husband, luckily my kids are almost grown so they went off on their own and hubby and I got to be alone. We enjoyed it, there are a lot of things to see inside but I think my favorite part is the village out back! There are shops and little cottages, a church, post...

To step back in time visit the Ohio Village and enjoy the slower pace of the 1800's. The olde tyme baseball team is great fun to watch when they are there playing with the rules of long ago. The center has something for everyone to walk through from our humble beginnings through our many successes that have brought us to...
