The gardens are wonderful but very overpriced at £13.75 per adult. What makes matters worse is you are charged a further £3.50 for the privilege of parking. Total rip off & then there are other opportunities in the gardens for donations ie in the poison garden. Glad I visited to see the gardens for myself but I wont return

A must see when visiting Alnwick. The fountains provide a spectacular centrepiece & the range of flowers is impressive. Worthy surroundings for the magnificent castle. Congratulations to the Duchess who had the imagination and determination to see the project through.

We arrived in the car park half an hour before the gardens opened and were told by a charming attendant who was just arriving to take the fee that since we had arrived before him there would be no charge! All staff were friendly and helpful and the gardens just get better and better every time we visit. No roses... More

We wanted to visit castle and gardens but decided rain stopped us visiting gardens so we just went round the castle, it was being prepared for a function in the main room so the smell of fresh flowers, lilies and roses, all white, was beautiful, the castle was itself very interesting and pleasant way too spend a rainy afternoon, the... Fantastic place for day out for anyone. This castle was used in Harry Potter films and the owners still live in the Castle! Amazing courtyard with lots of medieval games and costumes. Alnwick castle is just a few minutes walk away from the town center & tickets can be purchased for both the gardens & castle at the admission area.... More

Yes, the price is high but we thought it was worth it. However it was a glorious day so the Castle and Gardens looked magnificent. The whole experience was of a very high standard. From the cleanliness of the toilets to the standard of acting required in some parts! The guides were so helpful and the Castle was very interesting... More

We visited on a sunny afternoon and went to the garden only (around £11 each) I can see in some of the reviews that the price was an issue, and to include the castle aswell,it probably does look a bit steep, but I would say chose what suits you!. For us with a toddler it was pointless to see the castle (even... More
