Awesome beach has some great picnic facilities no surf patrols so parental supervision is a must. Swim here most summers and love it.
Nothing to dislike, love this beach. kid and picnic friendly, also great restaurant and takeaway food, The locals frequent this beach so it must be good!!
Some reviewers seem to have confused Coles Beach with Coles Bay. Coles Bay is on the East Coast whereas Coles Beach is in suburban Devonport. A quiet little village in Winter but having all you need on hand. Tasmanians know it as a gem so perhaps we shouldn't be telling the Mainlanders?? Oh well - cat's out of the bag.
We heard some bad stories about Coles Beach, But I really liked it alot. Its beautiful and close to the national park. Nice restaurant and a small city (Coles Bay) close to wineglass bay what is a real must see in tasmania
This beach is horrible, I went there and there were syringes all over the place and I think I even saw someone dealing drugs with another a person.
I prefer the Beach by the Bluff, as it has Lifesavers patrolling, and a good playground for the kids, with Free BBQ areas, and a skateboard, bike riding area.
Here on a Monday, hardly anyone around. Peaceful. Some covered picnic tables and toilets by the asphalted car park.
What a great little beach, great parking area where we have spent the first two nights in Tasmania - for FREE! May even stay another night tomorrow night, will wait and see.
