Years ago, I took my kids to the arboretum because it was an easy walking trail. Now, my son takes me on much longer hikes. The trails are well maintained, and the park has many different areas to explore.

Just a great place to get in your daily work out, with the trees and the birds. Even in the winter one can find wildlife going through their daily grind, and humans just getting out. Good hikes and lots of events to play at.
It was a nice change from spencers butte. Well the parking fee wasn't very nice but there is so much to explore its great, you could walk for miles or just pick a quicker route. There's also horse back riding allowed, i'm not sure if they have a program(i saw a sign on the trail) There are a lot of...

Nice wide open trail hike to the top of Mt. Pisgah. Somewhat steep at parts, but simple wide paths make this accessible to most and enjoyable.
I knew what to expect a good long hot work out with a fabulous view at the end. I used to take the kids swimming in the river afterwards. A great day over all
As others have shared, this is a nice spot to hike with your dog. Depending on the time of year and/or weather, it can be fairly crowded. The path is quite wide for the vast majority of the "main" trail, so it's easy to pass and go your own speed, and there are multiple smaller trails to try. It is...

What a great hike for the exercise and the beautiful views. You will probably see many people you know on this hike. Some people do the hike on their lunch hour or just for a couple of times a week. Dog friendly and very people friendly!
I've taken groups there several times in the past. Trails are maintained fairly well and well marked. Park grounds are kept clean. There are a couple of nice swimming holes along the river.
Excellent variety of hikes, steep, flat and in between. Dog friendly, many good loop hikes that can be varied and made as long as you want by adding branches. Beautiful majestic old trees, nicely labeled nature trails, well maintained. Must pay to park. Suggest buying an annual pass (available at REI locally and elsewhere). Good bargain.
To many people. They charge for parking. I don't think I need to use 100 characters to say that it is too crouded.
