there an Italian resteraunt that you could smell for miles. The Irish Pub is so authentic and the food was amazing. The shops are interesting. Some of the shops are a little high in price for me.

Nice wide sandy beach and the perfect amount of wind to fly our kites. Bring a chair and enjoy the beautiful views!

It has the usual tourist traps and so on, but clean, well kept and a pretty beach that even on a cooler day temped people onto the shoreline.

Real local flavor, and a very small town sensibility. Lots of book shops, galleries supporting local artists, and great food. It's like a more comfortable (and less pretentious) Cannon Beach.

Great place to visit, as I have my entire life but they have killed the groovy feel with all the high priced shops and they did not ad a single parking space. They narrowed the streets so two large vehicles can not pass down opposite sides of the street at the same time and those "bump outs" at the corners... More

We always enjoy walking way down the beach toward the jetty and back. We don't usually find any treasures but enjoy the walk anyway. Great simple exercise for us!! Many great restaurants and cute shops near, all walkable.

The beach is easy to find and easy to get to. It is a fun place to walk and enjoy the ocean! Nice place for beach combing.

My husband and I spent an afternoon wandering around the shops and bookstores, watching the sunset on the beach. It was a really great place to spend our last afternoon in Newport!

I didn't expect the sand to be so compacted. We could walk and not leave footprints. Beautiful area. The tide was back so far, seemed surreal. We walked down quite a big hill to get down to the water, but once down there, some great photo opportunities.
