Either enjoy the variety that you know everything about, or take a tour. Roger was our tour guide, and he's obviously been giving tours for years. It's a bit cooler than the rest of Portland, and it's quite peaceful.

This is probably one of the only nice walking parks in portland that i have been to. There are some trails you can take that are pretty nice and this area of Washington Park doesn't get as crowded as the others. The trails are a very easy hike and the park is nice!
Very nice place to walk around, hike, bike, run, you name it. Excellent location for a wedding too. Very green and well maintained. There are also museums if you're into that kind of thing.
This is a great place to take a nice, fairly easy walk through nature, and learn something about the trees and fauna.

A beautiful arboretum with wonderful, helpful volunteers. Amazing to find a place like this with walking trails so close to the city center! Make sure to visit the gift shop
This is one of the best parks in the city, if you like to hike. There a a number of hikes to some of the city's best locations.
You can take a short hike to the Zoo, or a longer hike to Pittock Mansion which has one of the best views of the city.
Or you can just hang out...
