This lovely zoo just keeps getting better and better! The giraffe exhibit gives enough ground for these beautiful creatures to truly be seen and the binocular laden visitor will love the huge Aviary that allows free flight instead of just caged birds. Loved this Zoo! Absolutely beautiful! By far the nicest zoo we have visited! The landscaping and all of the animal areas are very well maintained. O and you can get beer here!!!! Talk about A+++ (beer at the cafe when you first enter) great idea for parents!!!

Oregon zoo is located close to downtown area, which I think is great so I do not need to drive faraway just to get here. There are many other activities for sightseeing and for kids besides the zoo itself. They used to have promo rate every Tuesday, which i think is very helpful for us.

Portland's new baby elephant is just adorable. The Zoo is clean, organized and a wonderful way to spend the day.

What's not to love??? Plus elephants are very difficult to breed in captivity and they have had two born in the last 5 years so I think they must be doing a fantastic job!!!
