This is a beautifully landscaped and planned zoo with lots of exhibits. The exhibits weren't always clearly marked so I felt like we guessed a lot of the animals but all in all, it was impressive compared to the zoos we have been to. There were TONS of schools there when we went so it was crazy packed with children... More

I am a frequent visitor of the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park so I already have high expectations when it comes to zoos and this zoo did not disappoint. The animals looked pretty content and well cared for in some good sized, nicely maintained exhibits. I would highly recommend not going on a weekend if at possible because... More

We arrived when the zoo had just opened. I'm not sure if something special was going on that Saturday, but it seemed everyone was pushing strollers. Parking was included in the price of admission. This zoo is pretty easy to navigate as most of the way you follow one "road" through the park and can easily get stuck behind people... More

This lovely zoo just keeps getting better and better! The giraffe exhibit gives enough ground for these beautiful creatures to truly be seen and the binocular laden visitor will love the huge Aviary that allows free flight instead of just caged birds. The new flamingo exhibit is wonderful, though I think the keepers need to lighten up a little on... More

Loved this Zoo! Absolutely beautiful! By far the nicest zoo we have visited! The landscaping and all of the animal areas are very well maintained. O and you can get beer here!!!! Talk about A+++ (beer at the cafe when you first enter) great idea for parents!!!

Oregon zoo is located close to downtown area, which I think is great so I do not need to drive faraway just to get here. There are many other activities for sightseeing and for kids besides the zoo itself. They used to have promo rate every Tuesday, which i think is very helpful for us.

Portland's new baby elephant is just adorable. The Zoo is clean, organized and a wonderful way to spend the day.

It's a nice zoo with a variety of spaces with fairly good flow. It was a nice way to spend a day outside in the beautiful weather. It was a bit crowded with several school trips on ground, but that's to be expected that time of year. I will say the penguin exhibit was a bit disappointing, but I'm used... More

What's not to love??? Plus elephants are very difficult to breed in captivity and they have had two born in the last 5 years so I think they must be doing a fantastic job!!!

Notice the concrete elephants cells, they are small, isolated, unnatural. Look up freeoregonzooelephants.com for facts, pics and history of the Oregon zoo. Contact the zoo director, metro pres.,usda. Help free Packy and the other 8 elephants from a life of pain, torture and a short lifespan. Thank you
