I was impressed walking this beach. I really did not expect the great lakes beaches to be so nice. They are much cleaner than most beaches, and have easy access. I would greatly recommend a visit if you are in Erie in the Summer. In the winter, I am sure they are freezing cold!

We had a fantastic time touring areas of Presque Isle that we had never seen before! Segways were very easy to operate after an instructional orientation and way too much fun!! We enjoyed the most beautiful sunset! A must do!!!!

Sunset at Presque Isle - a 3200 acre Pennsylvania State Park , near Lake Erie , the fourth largest among the Great Lakes of North America , is something I cannot forget in my life .We had lunch at Firebirds in Millcreek Township. Moved to the peninsula , when the heat of the Sun started falling. The Presque Isle bay... More

It is hard to believe that there is so much outdoor adventure opportunity so close to Erie! We spent the entire day at Presque Isle, we grilled and chilled! From the beaches to picnic areas - the entire park is such a jewel! I biked around the island for several hours, and spent time enjoying watching the wildlife! Since the... More

I've been working in Erie for a few months and will go to Presque Isle after work for a relaxing bike ride.

PI is one of the greatest no cost parks that I have ever visited. The view is beautiful and the Park is kept quite clean. The restrooms could use a little better cleanliness but I know it is hard to keep after it with so many people and their lousy habits.

Lake Erie has had a difficult history with pollution. The beaches are not pleasant. There are a lot of dead fish on the sand. The drive around Presque Isle is through pine and hardwood forests. If you seek a "day at the beach" this is probably not a good choice.

Beautiful place! Areas for swimming. Drive, bike, or take a walk. Sunsets, sand, the water - nice! Don't forget your camera!

Presque Isle has some quirks, but at the end of the day it is a beach that feels like the ocean, and it's as close as you can get to that feeling in this part of the country without a huge drive. When you are on the sand, and look out at the water, you can see forever, just like... More

Presque Isle has a lot to offer families. Eleven beaches are offered throughout the park. Some beach areas offer playgrounds, others sand volleyball courts, good area to fly kites, etc. Presque Isle offers a variety of opportunities for fishing, hiking and a 13.5 mile long bike trail. Great time watching the sun sparkle off of the water. Visitors may take... More
