We tried to visit this tourist spot in April only to find it closed to the public. It would have been nice if it had been mentioned on the website. The grounds were nice and we brought a picnic lunch to make the most of the location.

They have events throughout the year that are fun to attend, last time I was there we toured the mansion - really the curators there love what they do and love the history and taking care of the place. For our most recent visit, we enjoyed a tour of the mansion while it was decorated for Christmas. The decorations were reminiscent of Williamsburg, VA.
