If you love the surfer community or have ever wanted to experience it, this is the place to be. Great for long walks and arm sand and if you're lucky, you might catch one of the bars hosting some authentic Nicaraguan noche music.

You can go into the water, but there are boats parked everywhere. There are many other beaches above and below San Juan del Sur where you can swim, surf, snorkel and dive.

Very nice beach with the only draw back being too many venders trying to sell the same thing over and over. I had sunglasses I didn't need pottery and I surely didn't want any "smoke" or "blow"

Beach was dirty. There is other beaches around that are cleaner. The Town is really cute and there's is plenty of places to eat and drink

Beautiful at night from afar. I wouldn't recommend swimming in it, as the town's raw sewage spews from somewhere near the mini Golden Gate-looking bridge nearby. Head to Playa Hermosa or Playa Madera instead!
