The best way to get across the Tamar. A chain ferry that runs all day and in to the night. Can have queues up to 20 mins at peak times but well worth £1.50 for the return trip.

This cuts off so many driving miles if toy want Ramehead, Kingsand, Cawsand and Whitsand bay. Free to enter Cornwall from Plymouth but a £1.50 (car) charge to get back. The waiting time is about 10 minutes but if you time it right you get on almost straight away. I take this route 4/6 times a year and love the... More

This is a modern ferry service with 3 ferries often in service during peak times. The photo alongside needs updating! Useful for going to many parts of the Cornwall coast near the Tamar.

Good view of Naval Dockyard and Tamar bridges. Modest toll best paid in cash. A useful alternative to the bridge.

Fab, regular and reliable, we loved travelling to Edgecumbe Arms and back. Also a good bus service to get back to our accomodation at Rame.
