Probably the best park and beach in Byron. Never crowded and beautiful. No lifeguards but plenty of other beaches have them if you are not confident in the surf. Great cultural significance to local aboriginal people.

you can look over the Park from the lighthouse but there's not much you can do in the park itself except for a few beach access tracks. Fabulous rare heathland now protected forever

Arakwal National Park boarders the coastline of Byron Bay., The best way to get orientated is to do a walk or drive the Byron Bay Lighthouse. This is shouldnt be missed on a Byron Bay holiday anyway. From the lighthouse you will see to the south a long stretch of unspoilt beach called Tallow Beach and Arakwal national park.
