This museum is an interesting and eclectic collection of treasures for a family to enjoy. Our family only had about 2 hours to spend there and that was about the right amount of time to enjoy the museum in it's entirety. The cost of the museum is not prohibitive, and considering that we are supporting local museums we didn't begrudge... More

Visiting the museum made me wish I had kids to take around and experience it with. There was a lot of interesting information and objects. I enjoyed the diamond exhibit. Make sure you check out the cabinet room on the bottom floor, there are some great specimens to check out.

I will start by saying I went here as a kid and from what I remember I was very excited to take my son. Upon arriving randomly on a day we figured wouldn't be busy, we were wrong. A bus load of 3classes worth if children piled in behind us which we figured wouldn't be a problem and may even... More

We express sincere apologies to the families who have expressed poor experiences while group visits or school field trips are present within the Museum. While we do offer special learning accommodations to schools and organizations hosting group visits and fieldtrips to the Museum such as tours and Planetarium shows, it is never our intent to exclude the families visiting the... Good afternoon of exploration for my kids...educational activities always a plus. We arrived in Lancaster on a cold spring break day...this was the perfect indoor activity to escape the cold. A lot of hands on things for the kids to do...The place held the interest of all my kids ranging from 5 years of age to 14...

Lovely museum. Much smaller and less "entertaining" than bigger operations, but with excellent depth in biology, wildlife, and astronomy. Reasonably priced planetarium shows. Lots of skulls, shells, feet, and animals you can touch! Great volunteers who enrich the whole experience. Plus, the membership is reasonable. We've been twice in two months with great results and a good experience both times.

The best nature and science museum for the kids we ever visited. Many hands on activities, the information laid out very smart and compact way. The birds collection is just AMAZING. We'll sure bring our grand kids to this wonderful place.

The museum had good history and well maintained. We took about an 1 hour of touring before heading back to the hotel. It was about 15 minutes from the hotel.

I grew up near here and frequented the North Museum quite often. As a parent I took my kids there and now as a grandparent, I enjoy showing my grandkids the wonders of science and nature. They feature contiunously changing exhibits, planetarium shows for all ages, local art and renowned permanent exhibits.

We come here all the time. What an awesome staff & museum. Exhibits are timely and changed to keep your experience fresh. Basement exhibits are our favorite. Loved the interactive Planet Earth ball on 1st floor. Nice, small park off to the side of the museum too.

I had limited time to explore the Museum, so I couldn't do it true justice. However, the dinosaur displays are great, as are the wildlife exhibits. My favorite in all museums are the rock and mineral collections. I had a great talk with the curator of that section, who does an excellent job on a remarkable collection of specimens. I've... More
