What a great place to learn about Pittsburgh. Not to overwhelming, enough history to really appreciate it. We got a stamp on every floor so we could get the "prize".

The layout is very sophisticated. Very clean design. Beautiful architecture. Please visit; you won't be disappointed!.

I visited the Heinz History Center on a Saturday afternoon, after taking an enjoyable walk through the Strip District. I greatly enjoyed the exhibits concerning the history of Pittsburgh's industries, and sports franchises. We went to the History Center for a private event and it was a lovely space. The food was excellent and the room was beautiful. Unfortunately I can't rate the museum itself, but it looked interesting from what I saw.

The Heinz Center is nice place to travel with the kids. There are a lot of hands-on exhibits for everyone to enjoy, and the overview of Western Pennsylvania is pretty nice. There is a small part of the History Center dedicated to the Heinz Company, but we would have expected that to have more detail (Heinz History Center, after all).... More

Before spending a day in the Strip District, go to the History Center for a morning - it is very interesting - they had so many different and fun things to do. I would go again and again since they change every few months.

Interesting and informational. Went here on a field trip with school kids. It has interesting facts about the area.

The place bills itself as "the" place to do genealogical research for Western Pennsylvania. But no research repository, no matter how good, is worth $18.00 to enter (wow--forgive me--it's only $13 for senior citizens!) plus a paid parking lot that costs at least $5/hr.
