When I was a kid growing up in Bethel Park we used to visit South Park all the time to feed the buffaloes They inhabited a big pen up a hill. They came to the fence to be fed. When one wasn't there, another was likely to be. There was also two in ground pools, one for kids and one... More

My wife and I recently went to Pittsburgh for the NCAA Frozen Four. We had a chance to visit South Park and some of the other parks in the area. Our main concern was to do some off pavement running and South Park was filling those needs. They are developing a great network of trails, which should hold up to... More

The park has some very nice walking paths. Most are on well maintained, paved paths. However, you can find some dirt paths if you want to get off the main paths. There some nice picnic areas. Others need some work. There are basketball courts, and deck hockey areas. There are 2 children playgrounds; the older one needs some updating. The game... More

The South Park Ice Skating Rink has been a gathering place for kids and adults alike for many years. It's so nice to see the faces of the kids learning how to skate. The rink is outdoors and they have a wonderful fireplace inside. It's a great place to take your kids on the weekends.

Nice place to take kids, walk, bike, picnic, hike, really anything. Grounds are clean and people are friendly. Lots of trees so it doesn't get too hot. They have several different playground areas so they don't get to crowded and it provides variety for the little guys.

We use this park every year for a family reunion. They have shelters that can be reserved, playgrounds near the shelters, grills, and lots of trees. The bathrooms were a little scary, but its a park district. It is a huge park with several areas to have a party.
