They have such amazing artifacts and so much information about the island that so many of us love!!!!

lucky enough to hit the last market of the season. local merchants had delicious local fare as well as beutiful, locally inspired artworks

There is a small fee to enter but to us it was worth it in order to learn more about the origins of Block Island. The only thing we were slightly disappointed in is that it is a self guided tour.

This is an interesting little museum. It's like pleasant Block Island overall--not gussied up and touristy. Some interesting maps and a little maritime history.

I was looking forward to seeing more nautical items and information about the early settlers on this island. This would really be a nice place to visit if it were open. Each time we've visited the island the historical society/ museum is closed.
