This is more of a cave than falls so if you don't like confined spaces this may not be for you. The falls are lit with colored lights that change and a really cool effect. Take your camera I got some neat pictures.

My wife and I visited Ruby Falls and had an enjoyable time. You enter the Castle Building and descend 250' down to the cavern via elevator. You will experience about a 1 hour tour underground walking about a 1 mile round trip trek that descends from about 250' below ground to the falls about 1,100 '. Guides do a good... More

Was raining the day we went to Ruby Falls but it's indoors so no problem! Unfortunately we were on a tour with a Girl Scout group & had a little trouble hearing our tour guide. would have appreciated them taking the girls on a separate tour but overall it was ok.

So glad we stopped here. The tour of the cave was very interesting. The fall was amazing! Our guide Andy was knowledgable and funny, and definitely enhanced our experience. Round trip was about a mile walk, but it was easy going. Well worth the money.

What a trip--both philosophically and geographically. We visited Ruby Falls for the first time, even though I have lived in the area for decades. What a pleasure! the setting of the visitor's center is the first part of the inspiration, because fro there you can look out over the Tennessee River and the city of Chattanooga. Then you descend, into... More

It is hard to imagine what the first men must have endured to provide a top notch attraction such as this. Great hostess and an unforgetable experience

O n the way down to the falls there were some formations that made you go Oh!, but they wer nothing compared to Ruby Falls. It was very impressive I am told because we have had a wet Spring. They have made a light and audio show that highlights the falls very well. The guide was very pleasant, energetic and... More

Beautiful cave subject to rain but that is where the waterfall comes from. Not for elderly as it is a mile walk but well worth the effort when you get there.
