Wonderful tour at the Fontanel Mansion. Our guide was a singer herself and told interesting stories of the Mandrell family.

Wonderful tour at the Fontanel Mansion. Our guide was a singer herself and told interesting stories of the Mandrell family.
Why has this guy not been picked up for a show or by a record company. Come on The Mandrells, help him out!!!
We had several hours to kill before our departure from Nashville, so we opted for a visit to Fontanel and the time spent was well worth it. Its a beautiful home nestled in a valley just a short drive from downtown Nashville. Seriously, it only took us 20 minutes to drive from Fontanel to the airport (without speeding). The home...

The tour was made extra special when Barbara Mandrell's daughter and sister took the time to talk to us while we were in the house. Vance was an exceptional tour guide; not only did he make us feel at home during the tour, he made us feel like friends when the tour was over. A must do when in Nashville.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a great review. It is so special that you got to meet Louise Mandrell. You never know who is going to show up at Fontanel!

Very enjoyable tour given by our guide Vance. Not only did we get to see and touch items in the home, we were also entertained by Vance at the piano and got to meet Barbara Mandrell's sister and daughter.
Vance is a great and talented guide. We are honored to have such talented guides that work at Fontanel. We are so thrilled that you got to meet Barbara's daughter and Louise. It is so special when family shows up.

Fontanel was lived in as recently as 2002 and has only been open to tours since 2011. That means, if you like home tours, this is a unique opportunity to see one that is completely contemporary. I liked the concept that this is a "house, not a museum", which means you can pick up the guitars, play the piano, sit...

Thank you for mentioning the uniqueness of Fontanel and the property. As you mentioned, you do not need to know about the Mandrell's prior to the tour to enjoy the tour. The zip lines are great and we hope that everyone can take advantage of all that Fontanel has to offer.

Wonderful visit to Fontanel! Our tour guide, Vance, was so welcoming and knowledgable. And a great pianist! The mansion had such a homey, comfortable feel while being an enormous, impressive structure. The staff were so gracious and the food at the restaurant was very good! Be sure to stop by for a relaxing, hands on tour. That's right--you can take...

We are so happy that you chose to take advantage of what Fontanel has to offer. The café is delicious! Jim, the wood carver, is an added bonus to the property. We want to support local artisans. We hope that you come back and visit us again sometime.

Our tour guide, whose performing name is Amy Dean, was enthusiastic, well informed, and a good singer. She accommodated everyone's interests along the way, answering questions and sharing little anecdotes that made learning the history of Fontanel really interesting. She belted out a song she wrote to get into the country swing of things. The grounds were a little disheveled...

We are so thrilled that you came to visit us at Fontanel. You are right about the grounds at the stage being 'disheveled' after the concert. I think everyone would be surprised how quickly the trash was picked up and the grass was replanted. Come back and visit us again soon!

Our visit to Fontanel was great. Our tour guide, Steve Whitson was so much fun and shared an amazing amount of info about Barbara Mandrell and her family. He also sang for us while we roamed around the great room. Although the mansion is hugh it has a very homey feel and you are allowed to touch almost everything in...

Your review is so appreciated. You are right about the size and feel of the house. Even though it is very large, it still feels very intimate and homey. Next time you are in Nashville, come back and walk our trails, dine at our café or zip on our zip lines. Lots to do at Fontanel.

Went to visit on a Sunday after heavy rains. The staff was quick to repair flash flood damage. We attended on a special day and got 1/2 off as we were organ donors. Had to wait for our departure, so dined at the restaurant. Food & service excellent. Quality ingredients beautifully presented. The tour impressed us with the openness. You...

Your experience at Fontanel is what we strive for. Organ donation is very important and we are honored to support great causes. The picture you saw in the master closet is a special treasure. It has never been seen by the public before Fontanel Mansion tours. You are right about 'ladies sticking together'. Barbara instilled how important working hard is...
