It's a small museum but very worth your time. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. They have a very nice gift shop that is reasonably priced.
Very nice small museum which only has about 18 (or so) aircraft but they were well maintained and displayed well. One of the volunteers there was knowledgeable and willing to explain about the aircraft and how they worked. The lobby had a nice selection of books, photographs, and models to build.
Lots of good history on display as well as an entire hangar with planes--some actually can be enjoyed "hands-on." Reasonable admission charge!!
My husband and boys are big aircraft fans. I found a coupon for $2 off per person which helped the overall cost. It was $37 for our family of four with coupon- 2 adults, 2 kids to get in. The first area has glass displays of photographs, uniforms, flight equipment, etc to look through - very nice collection - some... More
This aviation museum is quite interesting. Prior to entering the hanger, there are many exhibits with artifacts from all the wars starting with WWI. There are also exhibits showing wright flyer models. There is a variety of planes including migs, helicopters, P-47's, halftracks, and a variety of aircraft engines
With this attraction being a bit off the beaten path, I wasn't expecting to find it so well-done. Was I ever wrong. There are wonderful well-done exhibits that are well-cared for and maintained. We were guided through by a very knowledgeable member of the staff who was able to answer all questions posed to him. I'm not sure if it... More
Very nice. My husband and 2 boys loved the all the big planes, I especially loved the area dedicated to the chaplains. They were just as courageous as the ones in the heat of the battle.
We really enjoyed this museum. A lot of wonderful items and information. I found the cost to be reasonable compared to what the other attractions cost us. My husband is a veteran and he thought the museum was really nice.
We did a WWII Living History event at the museum and decided to tour it while there! Wow! Was I suprised at the volume and quality of this museum. I had lived withing 30 miles of this for 50 years and never went. I great place for the family. You might even get lucky and they have a Fly-in with... More
