Good place to go on a nice cool summer night! Food's okay, but sitting out on the water can be very relaxing while listening to the band play.

Joe Pool Lake is one of the newest bodies of water in the metroplex area. It offers a wide range of recreation from boating, fishing, skiing, fishing, etc.... There are camp grounds in the area. There is also a marina on the lake with a restaurant, fishing barge etc...

At the Marina an the west side of this huge lake, there is a Marina with a resturant named "Oasis". This is a must do place to go.

Grew up on a lake in northeastern Oklahoma, actually on an island in the lake , so I guess I was an islander and I have the tendency to compare and realize it isn't fair but I am predjudice and can not help it...

If you have a group, tough to beat this place. Rent a cabin! Water, room to run/explore. Kids of all ages have a blast here.

There is great camping; there is a store not too far to get to, and if just had to go there is all kinds of shops & restaurants within 3 miles of the park at Uptown Mall and there is a 24 hr Wal-mart.

cedar hill state park was awesome. Hiking, biking, kayaking, camping fishing, boating, mountain bike trails... it has it all!!!

This is one of our regular places to go to get some exercise. You can walk, run, bike, watch birds, see an occasional coyote. From Joe Pool you can see a long way toward Fort Worth, Arlington and south. It's a great place to see fireworks from around the area.

We recently sold our camper, but we used to come here and stay at the campground quite often when the kids were out of school because it was close to where I worked. We would hike every afternoon, and I could still go to work in the morning. Nice trails for biking or hiking. We always enjoyed coming here.
