Nice variety of wine. Good flavor, smooth, and really yummy bouquet. Very reasonable prices as well. Never thought of Texas for good wine, but this was yummy
Of all the Texan Wineries this is my favorite. Sommeliers are fun and knowledgeable, the wine is divine and the atmosphere harkens to another of America's wine-producing states. My favorite time to go is in the fall but spring offers the chance to enjoy the winery's fields of lavender. Take your time visiting the winery and my suggestion is to... More
Today we visited the winery for the first time. Gene Switzer, owner and winemaker led us through an enjoyable and interesting wine tasting. His wines are family produced with a large number of varities. Gene is a delight....a real one of a kind. Don't miss picking up a couple bottles of Main Street Christmas wine to enjoy over the holidays!
I visited the wine tasting shop on Main Street towards the end of my self-tour of wineries in the Fredericksburg area. The wines were good, especially their Christmas wine served warm, but the atmosphere was more like a warehouse store than a winery like the others I visited. It's worth walking down to their location on Main Street to try... More
We come here everytime we come to Fredericksburg,Tx. Their wines are the best in Texas. There is a candy store next door that puts their wine inside chocolate.
Staff was not warm, wine was terrible and prices were a bit much for the quality. No atmosphere. As far as all the Winery's you can go to in the Fredericksburg area this is a total waste of time.
My wife and I decided to give it a go. We stopped in and right away was greeted somewhat warmly and the staff explained the pricing for the tasting. We tasted 5 wines and bought 3 bottles. Not bad at all. Reading some of the previous reviews regarding rude staff, maybe we caught her on a good day?
The shop had about 12 wines to choose from with a complimentary tasting of 5 wines of our choice. I chose 3 of the drier wines then chose one that was a little sweeter. I then asked for another dry wine for my 5th and last taste and the female clerk refused to serve it to me! She said I... More
We visited this winery during the weekend. A staff member announced she was available for tastings at an empty counter. I went over and asked if I could try one of their wines. She said she had to go through the whole list first. I said ok, the she very rudely said she would have to wait for the people... More
Christmas Wine is yummy!! Whites are good. Reds not to my taste. Colors tend to be on the brown side rather than a deep, red, clear color: part of the pleasure of red wine. But I bought 3 bottles of their Gleuweine style Christmas Wine that I will serve out of a crockpot.
