This is a far better farmers market than the one in Alexandria-- perhaps a few less vendors but the price is about over half less for the items we purchased. Baby eggplant, heirloom tomatoes, all very fresh and no real long lines. Vendors are spread out, it was an amazing number of vendors and different goofs like pickles. It was well worth the walk from the main area of old town Fredericksburg, and worth the jam driving home.

Spring again, and the Farmer's Market is in full swing again. Fresh bread, made in a brick oven right there, wine, song, BBQ, veggies, fruits. Best Thing, the prices are reasonable.
Hint, if you want the fresh bread (olive sells out first, but they are all excellent) of your choice, line up at least 10 minutes before opening time of 4 PM on Thursday. For some unknown reason, no vendor can sell anything before 4 PM, which makes for a crowded, harried shopping detraction..

Me, my husband, and our son love going to the farmers market every thursday! Great people, and music. :) Love the pizza, and the selection of items as well! It's fun to just go and hang out even if you aren't shopping. Can't wait to go again next thursday!

Fun, food, singing and community. This is a great place to get local farm fresh foods and homemade eats and hear some local artists.

I was lucky enough to be in town during the farmers market last week (7/23). While my guys waited in the truck I strolled through & enjoyed myself. There was fresh bread being baked in a stone oven on the back of a trailer, very interesting to watch. There were a lot of interesting things to taste, see & smell. My favorite smell other than fresh bread was the peaches I bought for $12 & yes they taste so good!

Disappointingly small selection of local produce. We purchased fresh peaches and tomatoes but expected to have more of a selection available. We probably could have done better at one of the many roadside stands in the area. Now we know.

First time visiting this Farmer's Market. Had a wonderful time looking at everything and all the vendors were so nice and loved to talk with perspective customers. A lot of nice friendly people. Love the live music also!

Fun! Live music and crowed but we had a very nice time and met some very nice people. The town is excellent for antiquing (all day). Wear your walking shoes if you love browsing through streets of antique shops.

My wife and I live in Fredericksburg, and typically drop by the Farmers' Market every week when it's running. The regular vendors are all very good, but we do wish that there was a bit more variety. Parking on Main Street is usually not a problem, but there is plenty on the adjacent streets if needed. Definitely worthwhile!
