Fall in love when entering this beach through 61st street. Nice view of Gulf of Mexico. Love walking along the beach either on the east or west side. So breezy. Along the seawall boulevard are great restaurants, cafes and hotels. More

The seawall is such a relaxing place to peoplewatch, has great ocean views, lots of fun little shops and places to duck in for ice cream, lunch, etc. The kids just like to run down to the beach and throw sand at each other. More

In particular watch out for Seawall Blvd. The traffic is a mess is is bumper to bumper all day and late into the evening. Walk if you can and park your car, it's quicker. More

We love the seawall. The views are awesome and it is so much fun to walk or ride a bike on. We always feel safe to walk on it any time of day. Love to stay near it whenever we visit Galveston. More

A nice first look at the ocean. Beach area is small between the wall and water but it runs for a long distance. Lots of fun with the birds - bring a bag of baked chips, they will follow you anywhere! More
