Too busy, unless it's during the week, or terrible conditions. Water is hot and murky during most of the summer...try somewhere else!

In town for business and looking for somewhere to get outside and get some exercise. Ended up at North Shore trailhead by chance and it ended up being awesome.
Hiked a 2 mile trail mostly used by mountain bikers who were all very friendly. It was very wooded and had a few views of the lake but mostly in the...

I lived around this lake most of my life,we have lots of memories of picnicking, boating, fishing and family get togethers, I understand there has been improvements and safety updates over the last years.
This lake is right behind the neighborhood of a family friend. I knew it was close and I just happened upon the boat launch off Dooley St called Katie's Woods Park. It's free to park and walk down the rocky area right to the water's edge. Nice to take a moment and listen to the water and watch the ducks....

Okay, I live less than 100 yards from a trails entrance to the lake, I have a little bias. After living in Oklahoma for years it is great to have a lake that I can see the bottom in and come home without everything covered in red. The trails are a nice place to walk or ride and there are...

Grapevine Lake is a great place to go hiking, biking, camping, fishing, boating, picnicking, and any other thing you can think of to do outside.
Boasting several parks with paved trails and unpaved pathways for avid hikers, off-road bikers and outdoor enthusiasts. We take to the shores of Lake Grapevine on a regular basis and always find a new path to take. We walked over 7 miles of trails lwith our dog ast weekend, through forests and wildflower fields, over streams and bridges... it was...

I have lived on Lake Grapevine for twenty years. It is down about 10 feet at the moment, but it gave me a chance to walk around the edge of the lake to places I couldn't get to before. The water was clean with lots of pea gravel beaches. I can't wait until it warms up to take advantage of...

Very rockie... I do not like to swim where there are beer bottles and a lot of rocks. Boats are too close to swimming area. The only thing this place is good for is fishing.
The trails and plentiful clean restrooms create a runner and biker paradise. The trails wind through woods and water and hills. This is a peaceful island in an urban jungle.
