We visited here with our then two year old and another toddler. We previously purchased a brick as a gift for a friend and so we went with her to see it and the zoo. The zoo is fairly large. The facilities are well kept as are the animals and the price is fair. Parking is kind of far when... More

I brought my kids here during Spring Break which was probably a bad idea due to the fact that it was very crowded. However, my 2 year old had a great time seeing all of the animals. I will probably try to go back when it isn't as crowded or as hot.

The zoo is a fun place to take kids to see animals. The dislike is some of the vendors were not open. The water park was a nice touch.

My husband and I visited the zoo over Memorial weekend. We drove around for about 30 minutes to find a parking spot, but finally did. The zoo was very clean, outside, in bathrooms, at vendors places, etc.. Surprising as there were so many people there. The food is outrageous. A bottle of water $2.59. I can see wht families take... Considering this zoo is in the middle of a very large city, it's amazing what has been fitted in here. It's strange to be watching chimps one minute and then seeing the trauma helicopter landing on the roof of an adjacent hospital. I'm not always a great fan of zoos because, well, animals are really better in the wild. That... More

We are members of our local zoo that is a reciprocating zoo for Houston. My toddler is a zoo freak so we decided to go. Parking was free which is great for a zoo in a big city but the parking lot was small so if you go later in the day not sure what the parking situation would be... More

The Houston Zoo is always a wonderful place to visit in the heart of the city. They work hard to keep up the exhibits and keep the animals comfortable. It is an absolute blessing that there is so much shade in this park for the very warm Houston climate. Definitely go there as soon as they open in the AM... More

On our last full day in Houston we decided to go to the zoo a wet morning gave way to a beautiful afternoon. We could have scoped out cheaper tickets paid paid full price at $14 each less than half the price of visiting London Zoo! Hoston Zoo is fantastically well laid our and landscaped you get very close to... More

We went to the Houston Zoo after deciding that the space center would take too long and we only had a few hours to kill in town. Glad we did, had a great day! We got $2 off our adult admissions with our AAA card so that saved us $4!!! We paid the five dollars to feed the giraffes three... More
