The museum is located in a town that stopped in time and is simly part of the charm and didly of this town, and the museum is home to the history of Jefferson in its "heyday" the riverport...until the train... The model train bequethed to Jefferson from Fort Worth is housed in a train-station-replica in the museum's back yard.

Very interesting small town museum. Included Caddo Indian artifacts and much more. Quite a collection of memorabilia.
This is a have to see thing if you are touring the town of little ol' Jefferson, Texas. This will explain the history of the town and some of its localites. The museum is fairly cheap and has many things to see.
It's amazing to say the least, I don't expect so much history in this little place. Must go if you are interested in...

We visited here on our 2nd trip to Jefferson. We found the history and artwork interesting. It was fun reading about people and places in historical Jefferson.

An interesting side attraction is a large model railroad built by a Fort Worth man - the detail is extraordinary.

They have some mock scenes to show ppl what it looked like back in the day and they have a huge collection of anything and everything. For just a few...
