We camp there at least once a year for a small holiday and go swimming all the time. There is a screened in lodgeing, RV space, and tent space. The staff s friendly and helpful. Our state park in Tyler is beautiful.

We stayed at the "posh" cabins during our girl scouts camping trip in April 2012. Cabins were furnished with a nice fridge/micro, 2 sets of bunkbeds, and table with 4 chairs. Not only can you camp out but there are paddle boats swimming area, bike trails, walking trails and plenty of picnic areas. Everything is so clean and kept up.
As a frequent camper, I had heard many people speak highly of Tyler SP. We went for a weekend getaway at the last minute in April. Arrived and found no campsites available. Was able to get one night in a screened shelter, not far from the lake.
