We camp there at least once a year for a small holiday and go swimming all the time. There is a screened in lodgeing, RV space, and tent space. The staff s friendly and helpful. Our state park in Tyler is beautiful.

We stayed at the "posh" cabins during our girl scouts camping trip in April 2012. Cabins were furnished with a nice fridge/micro, 2 sets of bunkbeds, and table with 4 chairs. Bathrooms were super clean. Aside from orienteering that was organized by out coucil, we paddleboated, and there was also a beach area on the lake (no lifeguard though). Beautiful... More

As a frequent camper, I had heard many people speak highly of Tyler SP. We went for a weekend getaway at the last minute in April. Arrived and found no campsites available. Was able to get one night in a screened shelter, not far from the lake. The screened shelter was very nice. Great concept. No tent necessary, just camp... More

We couldn't get a cabin on short notice so we had to stay at a hotel. We got there we rented paddle boat for the kids, and a canoe for the wife and I. The prices were very reasonable. The lake is small but just the right size for the paddling around. We saw people catching bass while we were... More

Tyler State Park is a great place to visit. There are a lot of picnic tables, grills, etc. You can camp in your RV or tent. It's always kept up well. There's a good place to swim or paddle boat. I didn't notice if they still have the paddleboats on my last visit. You have to get your reservation in... More

We went camping here and were lucky enough to get a cabin. Although small it was very clean and met our needs. Especially since it rained : ) The first day we were there it was not raining so we were able to rent a paddle boat and kayak. It was fun. I had never been on a 4 person... More

I first went to the park in 1959 on a school trip. Much has changed in the past years. I remember we swam and there was a concession stand where we ate and for the first time ever I tried to dance. The park has changed over the years our children liked going there it was a special time with... More

There's alot of options at Tyler. The kids (6, 4 and 2) enjoyed runing up and down the trails and playing on the playground. There's tent camping seperate from trailer camping or combination or goup camping options. We had plenty of trails that the small kids could finish and water was like glass. Fish were jumping and our oldestvcaught a... More
