This company has an excellent visitors' center/museum/gift shop. Unfortunately, when we went into the factory on the self-guided tour, production was shut down, even though it was supoposed to be operating at that time. Since this was the off-season for tourists, our trip to the quarry was in our own car, following a company guide in a pickup. We were... More

See how granite is cut out of the hills, and follow it through the whole process of being made into monuments and statues. A bit of a different experience.

A very interesting tour, even if you, as we, have no interest in tombstones. The factory tour is a walk through tour and that was informative but the visit by bus to the quarry was very interesting. Worth the trip!!

Visited the Rock of Ages facility and quarry while visiting the area with my wife and daughters. A very nice tour of a very nice facility. The process of mining the granite and quarry site was interesting. The tour guide and staff were knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Make sure to also visit the Hope Cemetery in the area. It has... If you are in this area this is a "must see". The tour guide, John, was excellent and we were very fortunate to see them move 3 separate 20 ton blocks out of the quarry. He explained the whole operation, the different colors of granite from other quarries, and the history of the quarry. After the tour we were able... More

What a great place to spend some time especially if you have children along. They can learn so much about how stone is quarried and cut. The sculpture process and different types of stone used for buildin and monuments

went with a fourth grade class - kids had a really good time... the cashier at the gift shop makes the most amazing handmade granite jewelry! Reasonably priced and I gave one to my mother whom loved it. My son and I played on the GRANITE BOWLING ALLEY in the back - great day !

We really had a great time on this tour and visiting the gift shop. I can't say enough about how nice everyone was. Our two grandchildren had never seen anything like this and because of that it was very educational.
