My girlfriend and I decided last minute to head up to Killington for a long weekend. After doing a lot of internet research, we wound up choosing to use Appalachian Trail Adventures for all our activities. John was fantastic. He is so knowledgable about the area and made the experience amazing. He tailored all of our activities to our abilities... More

John is the founder of this company and his attention to detail and passion for sharing the outdoors is remarkable! We hiked on the ski slopes and trails in and around Killington, kayaked in two peaceful and scenic rivers, and topped if off with a caving adventure! All of this was orchestrated professionally and perfectly! Would highly recommend John and... More

I would recommend Appalachian Trail Adventures to anyone who enjoys the outdoors. John, the founder, is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and there are enough guides and great trails to ensure an adventurous hike to those of all fitness levels. Kayaking was a great addition to an active day- something I would not have done on my own. John is also... More

We had an incredible time participating in ATA. Each day was different and exciting and fun. John takes a lot of time to figure out the right hike and activities for each member of the group. He really takes the time to get to know his guests and makes the trips really enjoyable. We loved all if the hikes we... More

John and his tour guides were all friendly and professional. Each day, John carefully planned to please everyone. Also, staying at the Summit Lodge was pleasant. The meals were very good. I... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our time with ATA. Each day was finely tuned to meet our needs/expectations. John does an excellent job coordinating and making sure each guest get the most out of their stay. We hiked in the morning and kayaked in the afternoon. We took our very first Yoga class and after our all day hike... More

Hiking with ATA was great. John puts everything together, has all plans mapped out and ready to go, is very flexible to meet any needs and his dog is a blast to hike with (Bea was great too!). Hiking, kayaking, caving was tons of fun and we definitely want to return. I would recommend this trip to anyone from novice... More

I'm not a repeat vacationer, but I've come back to ATA for a second year. It's basically adult camp - hiking in the morning, kayaking and swimming in the afternoon, with the ability to squeeze in time for sightseeing and some great VT microbrews. John and his guides are super friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. They work hard to make sure... More
