This is such a little treasure tucked away in Vermont. They have amazing indoor exhibits and a large hiking trail filmed with outdoor exhibits. My son loves the bubbles exhibit, we always have a contest for who can make the biggest bubble. Currently he holds the record for putting his body in a bubble. They have an awesome leaf cutter... Very fun, interactive museum, best for kids, but enjoyable by adults. Went for an exhibit of bird prints--very cool.

We have taken my daughter to many of the Children's Science Museums in different states. Usually they are geared toward the younger children. So, we were not too sure what to expect. We were quite surprised to find that this Science Museum has many exhibits that are great for older kids. We all really enjoyed ourselves with all the hands... More

My husband and I volunteer at the Montshire Museum several hours each month. To be able to observe families enjoy learning brings us great joy. We come home with stories of fun and laughter. Families buy year pass' and come as often as they can fit this into their schedules. Some of the activites changes during the year others stay... More

Four years in a row, our family has made a weekend getaway to Woodstock, VT or Hanover, NH with the Montshire museum as a main event. It is a small, but wonderful science and nature museum. Perfect for families with elementary school-age kids.

We have always loved the Montshire but recently they outdid them selves. The second floor is the best we've ever seen! Our grandchildren visited recently and wanted to go back a second time after having so much fun with How Things are Made section. There was so much to learn and do that my husband and I were thrilled when... More

We spent our afternoon here with our 10, 8, and 5 year old. There was sunbathing for everyone. The 4 hours spent flew by and I enjoyed myself as much as my children did. Our favorites were the turtles, making huge bubbles, and we made a clock run via potato. My boys can't wait to go back this summer and... More

We took our grand daughters there on a rainy summer afternoon and had a wonderful adventure. Lots of hands on activities. Small but very interesting.
