Gentle Giants Sleigh Rides are just like the song.... you're dashing through the snow, in a one horse open sleigh! The horses even have jingle bells! Each ride is private, but there's room enough for a large group or family. I was surprised they were still doing sleigh rides at the end of March, but we drove by after a... More

Our horse was sweet, as was our driver. The ride was too short, but very authentic. The sound of sleigh bells was wonderful in the woods.

We have taken a sleigh ride with Gentle Giants twice now (once 4 years ago & once last weekend). We truly enjoyed the trail and sleigh driver. The horses are well cared for, and the area is beautiful. I only wish the trail was longer (the ride lasts about 20 to 30 minutes in the winter).

Expensive for a ride that was 2X around a small area. liked the carriage driver, funny and gave history plus personality of the horse.

ok, i'll start this off by saying i might be a little bias: I got engaged on one of these sleigh rides! So lets get down to it, it's $80 for a ~20 minute ride, but if you're looking for something enjoyable and special to do while in Stowe, this is it! The owners are very friendly, it's not like... At $80.00 for 2 for 20 minutes, it is a bit pricey, but I realize how much money goes into caring for these beautiful horses. Heck, we just paid over $260.00 for a 30 minute dog sledding ride the day before up in Eden. (see my separate review on that on Trip Advisor). Both were things we always wanted to... More

There was 7 of us out for the sleigh ride at the Gentle Giant's Sleigh and Carriage Rides. It was very enjoyable!!! Scottie, Jack & Max worked very well together. It is a must do - 25 minute ride through the woods, beside a stream and in fields - Awesome thing to do while you are in Stowe....

Great scenery, warm welcome, informative and fun driver Mike, handsome horse Clayton and lots of snow falling should equal 5 stars. For us the 25 scant minutes (maybe 22) was just too short for $96. If you've never done it, I would still recommend. We paid the same a couple of years ago for a longer ride.

25 minute ride in a horse drawn sleigh, just the two of us and the driver. Beautiful terrain all around as you cross cross the recreation path, along the river. Knowledgable and friendly guide told us all about maple syrup. Bundle up, the blanket is nice but not enough by itself. Wear a hat.
