The brewery has a cool local mystique about it. You hear all the stories about how hard it is to get your hands on this limited production brew. We went on Memorial Day, and it was packed! As we stood in line, we were worried that we would be among the large group of unlucky people who have tried numerous... More

to buy some Heady Topper, because you're afraid you won't get your hands on any when they brew. Very small. There is a viewing window to see what the inner workings look like. You can even see some canning in process if you get there at the right time. Nice place. No need to bring your own hand truck. They... More

Tasting was inexpensive and very goodfor an IPA and im not an IPA fan. There really isnt a tour but signs to read fun facts about brewing. An average visit but I wouldn't drive hours or miles for it.

When people tell you to be on line at 11 AM Monday at the Alchemist, be there BEFORE 11 AM Monday at the Alchemist! The place was a mob house Monday morning with the line running out the door, around the corner, and back half the length of the brewery. They do a really good job of moving the line... More

You can taste all the ale you want, but be warned: it is delicious and they will likely run out of your favorite brew. No lie: we think the "Heady Topper" ale may be the best ale we've ever, ever tried. That's saying a heck of a lot. The Alchemist Brewery doesn't filter their ale. Their take is that they... More

I wasn't thrilled with our stop here. The beer is good, especially if you like a double IPA. But the place is small, the only bathroom was a port-a-potty and "self-guided" tour means standing in the lobby and reading a board, then standing near the production line and reading a few more signs while you sip on a sample. If... More

We got a tasting but they were out of beer to buy. We heard this happens often....the beer is great so I hope they can keep up with the demand. Worth the stop and the tasting!

The woman at the counter was a little distant and offputting during our visit; however, my boyfriend enjoyed the beer and we returned the next day to purchase tee shirts.

You're guaranteed to get to try Heady-Topper if you tour their small brewery, but that's probably the only way you'll get to. They only release for sale twice per week at the moment, and they tend to sell out within a couple of hours due to their high ratings on top beer rating websites. They are also a very small... More

This beer is is extremely good and they obviously take tremendous pride in their product. A trip to the brewery is worth it- you can sample the product right there and pick up a limited supply. They almost always sell out by noon on Fridays so call ahead if you are headed there on the weekend to be sure they... More
