4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2013 NEW

On a recent trip to the Charlottesville area, my husband and I visited 6 or 7 vineyards throughout a five day trip. This one was one of our favorites for several reasons. First, we both loved the wine. We are both wine drinkers and love to try new ones. We both found almost every wine we sampled delicious. It was... More

A wonderful winery without pretense. Charlottesville is rife with uppity places that can make you more than a little uncomfortable...Blenheim Vineyards is not on that list. This is a relatively simple place with a nice atmosphere, warm staff, and good wine. The view off the back deck is lovely and the mascot roaming the tasting room is a great touch.... More

Most everyone knows the story that this vineyard is owned by Dave Matthews. But it's very unlikely that you'll see him there. But he has built a very cool winery. It's not real big, but the view off the back deck is amazing. They don't mind you bringing your own food, which is great. The wines are okay, but I... More

My daughter has never been to a wine tasting before. She enjoys a good glass of Cabernet so we found this little gem. Owned by Dave Mason was a great excitement for my daughter, who loves his music as do I, was doubly delighted. She loved the white wine but she drinks red. Unfortunately they had run out of red... Our group of two couples visited the winery tasting room. All the wines we tasted were drinkable. We learned that not all the wines they produce are in the tasting. They had sold out of their best sellers. We purchased the Painted White and our friends preferred the Painted Red. Saw other tasters enjoying the cheese platter, but we weren't... More

Don't waste your time or money. The wine is poorly stored and not well presented. Management is unconcerned, grumpy paranoid.

This was the second of three wineries we visited for tastings yesterday, and it was my least favorite, simply because I did not enjoy the wines nearly as much as at the other two places (Jefferson and Trump.) Blenheim's wines seemed fairly standard, nothing very interesting. However, the tasting room was pleasant, and the staff friendly and very helpful. Perhaps... More

Much younger and cooler crowd than a lot of the other vineyards in the area. They had 5 wines to taste and their reds were both pretty good. The glasses they give you with the tasting our some of the nicer ones we got too.

Inside the tasting room they have a great view into the winery through a window in the floor. The draw to this winery was because of the ties to Dave Mathews. The Table Red and Table White were good, the other were fair. The views out the back window are good.

If you're visiting several winerys in one afternoon, I would stop here. The table wines (both red and white) are pretty decent. I wouldn't go out of my way for it. They don't serve meals, but they have cheese plates, and I saw several groups had packed a picnic. Great atmosphere, ok wine
