My family and friends visited Breaux vineyards this past Sunday. We brought a picnic lunch for ourselves and our 5 children. We ordered a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc for our first wine. It was very nice with great structure and Aromas. The outside seating area has breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and the vineyard. The kids enjoyed playing... More

My friends and I were celebrating my birthday with a trip to several Virginia wineries. I called the day prior and spoke with Jody who was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. When we arrived we were given the opportunity to do our tasting (6 of us) in the tank room rather than the extremely crowded tasting room.... More

Breaux refused service to a foreigner because he did not have an American identification. One would think that an identification from another country... while not in English would serve the same purpose. The manager was incredibly rude and would not take a passport from the country either... not a place I will ever drink or purchase wine from.

New to the Virginia area and have been sampling wines from numerous vineyards. They are beautiful places, reminiscent of Napa...in appearance only. The wines, for the most part, do not come close to California quality--especially the reds. They all tend to be anemic. Recently at a Breaux tasting we were given a red that clearly had a "brown" hue and... More

My wife and I recently completed a swing of Virginia wineries, starting with Breaux who are making some good wines nowadays. The location is very nice and they are expanding their tasting room. I arrived with a list of the wines I wanted to taste and met with Jennifer Breaux Blosser whose family owns the winery. She was very accommodating... More

We drive 30 miles to get there, arrived at 5:10pm when website lists being open until 6pm. Flags flying said "open" and when we entered, the employees were rude saying that they were closed and going as far as arguing with us that the website said they closed at 5! Then I showed them the proof and they just shrugged!!!... More

We liked all the wines. The location was the furthermost location from our hotel in leesburg, but if you start there and work your way back, its only minutes away from the next set of vineyards. Tastings were $10 for 10 wines. Seems like the going rate in the area is $1 per wine.

With wines that are exported to Europe, Breaux exceeded our expectations. Our tasting guide was so patient and knowledgeable and really spent time talking about each wine with us. I've been to many other tasting rooms and often felt talked down to or rushed and the wine didn't wind up keeping. Breaux couldn't be different! Each time I open on... More

This winery unfortunately cannot effectively handle the large crowds that come through here. The wine was very good, and the setting was beautiful. The acreage is amazing. I recommend this winery, but avoid peak times.

The merlot and nebbiola wines are still excellent, but overall Breaux seems to be devoting more time to "events" at the winery and less to producing the quality wines for which they were renowned.
